Pacific View Asset Management’s Small Cap Investment Team offers clients two investment strategies: (1) International Small Cap and (2) Global Small Cap.
Both strategies are based on the view that small cap securities are an inefficient asset class. Many global equity managers focus on larger companies leaving an abundance of under-researched and overlooked small cap stocks. We believe that we have the knowledge, willingness and experience with small cap investing to identify these stocks, put them through our rigorous research program and then apply our small cap stock picking experience to generate additional alpha.
The investment objective of our International Small Cap strategy is to achieve superior risk adjusted returns over the long term by investing in under-researched and overlooked small cap stocks that are primarily located outside the U.S. Over a full market cycle, we are seeking to out-perform the MSCI ACWI ex-USA Small Cap index by an average of 300-500 basis points on an annualized basis.
The investment objective of our Global Small Cap strategy is to achieve superior risk adjusted returns over the long term by investing in under-researched and overlooked small cap stocks that are located around the world, with our primary focus on North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Over a full market cycle, we are seeking to out-perform the MSCI ACWI Small Cap index by an average of 300-500 basis points on an annualized basis.
